How to make it
Pattern Card Cut-out: Use pattern to cut out each triangle shape using different colored design paper.
Cut out a 5 1/4″x 12″ rectangle and fold in half so it is a square-ish rectangle.
Trace star on the front center of card.
Cut out the sextagon center of star.
Making the Star: Glue different colored design paper triangles on white card stock card using glue stick.
Make sure to leave the tip of the triangle pointing to the center of the card opening unglued. (In our photo, this triangle is red with a white pattern.) This will be glued down later when the ribbon is ready.
Take a 3″x 3″ square piece of design paper and glue it right side down onto the inside cover of card using glue stick. Make sure the paper completely covers the hole in the center of the star.
If you like, glue another piece of design paper on top of square to make it look neat on the inside of the card.
Beaded Ribbon: Cut a 1/8″x 20″ piece ribbon in half.
On one piece of ribbon string one end of the ribbon with beads. Tie a knot at the end to keep beads on the ribbon.
Take the non-beaded side of one piece of ribbon and glue it to the front of the card. Make sure to glue it underneath the unglued corner of the triangle (Step 6), then push down the triangle to cover the ribbon.
Glue the other piece of ribbon to the back center edge of the card.
Thread the non-beade ribbon ends with large and small beads, and knot end.
